OUR STORY

A circular logo with a stylized woman's profile, colorful swirls, a feather, musical notes, and dandelions, featuring text that reads 'LYRIC: Living Your Real Identity Courageously' and symbols representing trauma healing, access consciousness, professional supervision, and Wairua practice, with an emphasis on mind, heart, identity, and spirit.

Nau Mai, Haere Mai ki Te Mauri Tuakiri

Uplift the essence. Blossom the creativity. Create a space of peace.

Te Mauri Tuakiri was independently founded in July 2026 by Karroll Pere-Veale as a space where professional practice, creativity, wellbeing, identity and wairua could come together under one kaupapa.

Te Mauri Tuakiri is a solely founded, directed and operated business, with Karroll personally providing each of the services offered. This means that when you connect with Te Mauri Tuakiri, you are working directly with the person whose lived experiences, professional journey, creativity and vision gave life to the kaupapa.

At its heart, Te Mauri Tuakiri has grown from a simple belief: within each of us already exists mauri, identity, creativity and an inner knowing that deserves space to be heard.

Sometimes we simply need a space where we don't have to do anything — a space to slow down, switch off from the demands around us, and allow ourselves to simply receive.

At Te Mauri Tuakiri, Access Bars sessions offer a gentle, relaxing experience centred around rest, presence and giving yourself permission to pause.

Access Bars is a light-touch wellbeing practice involving gentle contact with specific points across the head. Sessions are non-invasive and are commonly sought by people looking for an opportunity to deeply relax, quieten the busyness of everyday life, and create intentional space for themselves.

My approach is grounded in manaakitanga, aroha, choice and respect. You remain in control of your experience at all times, and there is no expectation that you need to talk, explain yourself or arrive with something that needs to be "fixed." You are welcome to simply come as you are.

Through Te Mauri Tuakiri, I see Access Bars as another way of creating ahurutanga — a safe, nurturing space to simply be. Whether life has felt busy, your mind has been full, or you are intentionally making more space for yourself, your session is time dedicated completely to you.

Each person's experience is unique. Some people enjoy conversation and reflection alongside their session, while others prefer stillness and quiet. Your session can be shaped around what feels most comfortable for you.

Come as you are. Rest. Receive. Reconnect.

He wāhi whakatā. He wāhi tau. He wāhi mōu.
A place to rest. A place to find calm. A place for you.

Professional supervision is a safe, confidential and supportive space where practitioners can pause, reflect on their mahi, explore challenges, recognise their strengths, and continue developing both personally and professionally.

Through Te Mauri Tuakiri, professional supervision is offered from a culturally grounded and relational approach. The space is designed to support you as a whole person — acknowledging that who we are, what we carry, and the experiences we bring with us can all influence the way we show up within our mahi.

I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Kaitiakitanga: Professional Supervision through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, graduating in 2021. Since then, I have had the privilege of providing supervision and reflective support to both students and experienced professionals, working within individual and group supervision settings.

My approach draws upon Te Ao Māori values, reflective practice, lived experience and professional social work knowledge, creating a space where honest kōrero, learning and growth can take place. Supervision does not have to be solely about what is going wrong — it is also an opportunity to acknowledge what is going well, reconnect with your purpose, strengthen your professional identity and explore where you want to grow next.

At Te Mauri Tuakiri, supervision is about more than professional accountability. It is about creating ahurutanga — a safe and nurturing space where you can bring your authentic self, reflect without judgement, and leave with greater clarity, direction and confidence in your practice.

He wāhi hei whakaaro, hei kōrero, hei tupu.
A space to reflect, to kōrero, and to grow.

Wairua Mahi | Reconnect • Explore • Remember

Wairua Mahi is a little different — because this mahi begins with YOU, the tangata whaiora.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, our time together is shaped around what you are seeking, exploring, feeling drawn towards, or needing space for in that moment.

At Te Mauri Tuakiri, Wairua Mahi provides a nurturing and intentional space to slow down, explore different parts of yourself, reconnect with your intuition, and deepen your relationship with your own sense of identity, wairua and knowing.

Your individual session may weave together different practices, including:

🔮 Oracle Guidance — using cards as a reflective tool to explore questions, themes and possibilities.

💫 Chakra Exploration & Energy Work — bringing awareness to the different energetic centres of the body and what they may symbolically represent for you.

💎 Crystal Healing — incorporating crystals as part of your intention-setting, grounding and reflective experience.

🧿 Pendulum Mahi — using pendulum practice as an intuitive and reflective tool.

🌿 Connection with Te Taiao — reconnecting with the natural environment and recognising the grounding, stillness and perspective that can come through our relationship with te taiao.

🌊 Natural Elements — incorporating whenua, wai, hau and other natural elements into practices of grounding, cleansing, reflection and reconnection.

✨ Human Design Exploration — exploring your Human Design as one possible framework for reflecting upon how you experience yourself, make decisions, interact with others and move through the world.

🪶 Intuitive Kōrero & Wairua-Based Guidance — creating space for deeper kōrero, reflection and whatever may naturally emerge throughout our time together.

Guided by Three Pou

At the manawa of Te Mauri Tuakiri are three pou that guide this mahi:

❤️ AROHA — Connection to the Heart
Creating space to approach yourself with compassion, acceptance and aroha.

🌿 TUAKIRI — Connection to Who You Are
Exploring identity, whakapapa, lived experience and the parts of yourself you may be reconnecting with or reclaiming.

✨ KNOWING — Connection to the Wisdom Within
Learning to become still enough to hear yourself, trust your intuition and recognise the knowledge and wisdom you already carry.

Wairua Mahi is not about someone else having all the answers for you. It is about providing ahurutanga — a safe and nurturing space where you can explore, question, reflect and reconnect in a way that honours your own beliefs, boundaries and mana motuhake.

At this stage, Wairua Mahi is offered on a KOHA basis, creating an accessible opportunity for tangata whaiora to experience this mahi while I continue to grow, develop and deepen this space within Te Mauri Tuakiri.

Sometimes we don't need someone to tell us who we are.

Sometimes we simply need a space that allows us to remember. 🌙✨

Hoki ki tō mauri. Hoki ki tō tuakiri. Whakarongo ki tō knowing.
Return to your essence. Return to who you are. Listen to the knowing within.
